Applied Behavioral Approaches in Georgia

Early Learners Program

Our Early Learners program is rooted in research and designed to address key areas of childhood development.

Research shows ABA therapy is most effective the earlier it begins. A seminal study of the benefits of early intensive behavioral intervention (EIBI) found that children who began ABA therapy before turning 5-years-old had better outcomes than children who started ABA therapy after age 5 (Fenske, Zalenski, Krantz, & McClannahan,1985). Subsequent studies demonstrated that children who began ABA therapy as early as 2 and 3 years old led to significant cognitive and adaptive skills (Green, Brenann, & Fein 2002).

Some of the skills addressed include:

The Early Learners Program

Our Early Learners program uses reinforcement, incidental, and discrete trial teaching to enhance strengths while building needed skills.

Children learn best when they’re happy, nurtured, relaxed and engaged. Our program not only addresses these aspects, but aides children in acquiring pre-academic skills and tools that will lead to greater independence in the classroom and beyond.

Similar to a preschool day, children typically attend the program from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Daily children engage in the following activities:
